CYP-450 Potentiation: The Enzyme that is responsible for breaking down and metabolising drugs in the liver is CYP-450. When that is inhibited certain drugs will remain in the system longer and require a lesser dosage to recieve an equivelent effect of a high dosage. 100% Ruby Red Grapefruit juice as well as Cimitidine (Tagemet) are suitable agents for inhibiting this enzyme.
